SOLFERINO – I Libri del Corriere della Sera. Si occuperà di narrativa, saggistica, poesia e libri per ragazzi, italiani e stranieri.Nasce forte di un patrimonio di solida tradizione di cultura e informazione e con l’intento di intervenire sulla scena editoriale con una voce allo stesso tempo autorevole e curiosa, nuova e rigorosa. Con i suoi libri vuole offrire ai lettori storie, inchieste, narrazioni che nella loro varietà – dal saggio di intervento al grande romanzo – portino un contributo di verità, di riflessione e di passione civile. Attenzione alla scrittura, al valore del lavoro editoriale, ai temi etici, sociali e politici dei tempi che viviamo sono le direttrici del nostro lavoro. Crediamo che quello dell’editore sia soprattutto un lavoro di ricerca: SOLFERINO scommette sulle nuove voci e nel suo catalogo convivono e vengono valorizzati autori prestigiosi e voci inedite. Filo conduttore: l’originalità della proposta, l’incisività e l’unicità dello stile.A partire dal nome (via Solferino 28 è l’indirizzo del Corriere della Sera dal 1904) abbiamo voluto sottolineare il legame che la casa editrice avrà con lo storico quotidiano che è stato la casa di grandi scrittori come Dino Buzzati, Italo Calvino, Eugenio Montale, Gabriele D’Annunzio, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Oriana Fallaci e molti altri protagonisti della cultura italiana. Il rapporto con il Corriere della Sera e con tutte le testate del Gruppo RCS sarà di ispirazione, libertà e reciproca autonomia.

Starting from the name (via Solferino 28 is the address of the Corriere della Sera from 1904) we wanted to underline the link that the publishing house will have with the daily historian who was the home of great writers like Dino Buzzati, Italo Calvino, Eugenio Montale , Gabriele D'Annunzio, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Oriana Fallaci and many other protagonists of Italian culture. The relationship with the Corriere della Sera and with all the RCS Group's publications will be of inspiration, freedom and mutual autonomy.
